Pathways4Kids invites abstract submissions for the 2027 Pathways4Kids Conference, taking place February 8–10, 2027 at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
We welcome submissions highlighting work which includes innovations, quality improvement initiatives, implementation strategies, research, and best practices that advance pediatric clinical pathways and standardized care.
Submission deadline is August 17, 2027
Theme: Turning Evidence Into Impact: Pathways That Change Care
While all pathway-related submissions are welcome, we are particularly interested in projects that align with the following areas of focus:

Presentation Formats
All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Pathways4Kids Abstract Review Committee.
Not every accepted abstract will be selected for an oral presentation. The review committee will assign each accepted submission to the format that best showcases the work while creating a balanced conference program. Presentations may include
- CME Presentation
- 45-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion
- These sessions highlight completed projects with strong educational value and practical application. Presentations should provide attendees with strategies, lessons learned, and tools they can adapt for use at their own institutions.
- Panel Discussion or Rapid Fire Session
- Approximately 60 minutes
- These highly interactive sessions bring together multiple presenters around a shared topic, challenge, or innovative approach. In 2026, sessions focused on dashboards, data visualization, and implementation tools were among the conference favorites.
- Consider partnering with colleagues from your institution or collaborating with peers from other organizations to share different perspectives, compare approaches, or demonstrate how specific tools or technologies have been successfully implemented. Discuss hot topics in clinical pathways or share perspectives from different programs.
- Poster Presentation
- Poster presentations provide an opportunity to showcase quality improvement initiatives, research, implementation work, or projects that benefit from one on one discussion with attendees.
- If sufficient abstracts are accepted, we anticipate hosting two dedicated poster sessions during the conference. Presenters should be available at their posters during their assigned session to discuss their work and answer questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does my project have to be complete?
No, though it is preferred. Projects with preliminary results are welcome, provided the work is expected to be complete before the conference. It helps to share anticipated outcomes if you have them.
Does this have to be research?
No. We encourage submissions describing quality improvement, implementation, pathway development, operational improvements, education, and research.
Can multiple institutions submit together?
Yes. Collaborative and multicenter submissions are encouraged.
Do I need to register if my abstract is accepted?
Yes. At least one presenter must register for and attend the conference to present the accepted work.
