Who We Are:
We are a collection of pediatric healthcare professionals from over 30 children’s hospitals across the nation who develop and implement evidence-based clinical pathways.
Purpose:
Pathways4Kids is a national collaborative that aims to optimize clinical outcomes for all pediatric patients via sharing of best practices for clinical pathway and program development, implementation and measurement strategies. Clinical pathways enable the reliable delivery of high-quality evidence-based medicine to promote high-value equitable healthcare.
Vision:
Our vision is to create a cohesive network of multidisciplinary pediatric clinical pathway professionals that fosters innovation, resource sharing, and data-driven improvements in pediatric patient care.
Our Current Goals:
- Establish and formalize a Pathways4Kids governance structure
- Pursue partnerships with professional organizations
- Host a national conference for learning, collaborating, networking and strategize next steps forward
- Strengthen relationships amongst participating hospitals to facilitate resource and knowledge sharing through networking via our membership driven Slack community and quarterly meetings
- Enhance professional development opportunities for pediatric clinical pathway professionals
- Support and disseminate efforts to promote health equity through pathways
- Support the integration of innovation and technology into pathways including AI
