About Our Speaker

Dr. Amy Tyler is the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is a federally funded implementation and health services researcher in the Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is fellowship trained in both health services research and dissemination and implementation science and has a Master of Science in Clinical Science.

She has advanced training in implementation research through the NIH Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (TIDIRH) and in Quality Improvement through the Advanced Improvements Methods (AIM) course at the James M Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She has expertise in both leading and participating in local and multi-site, interdisciplinary improvement and implementation research projects and collaboratives that involve data-driven improvement with a focus on clinical effectiveness, operational excellence, and value. Dr. Tyler is passionate about combining improvement science and implementation science to work effectively with clinical teams to implement evidence-informed care to improve child health outcomes.
